Our Goal
Bridging Cyber Security Skills gap in Africa. | Industry Practice
Cyber-attacks have two chief causes: financial and political gain “We must collaborate with like-minded states, share information, and cooperate to mitigate this risk,” Dadi Gertler, Executive Director of Innovation and Technology partnerships at the Cyberpro, told The Cyberweek 2023 “We all have the same goal and face the same challenges. The next step is to enhance collaboration between governments and industries.”, the presence of delegates from so many countries at Cyber Week will demonstrate the existing demand for better international cooperation.

States and private companies must maximize collaboration to face these new challenges. Although balancing the need to share with the need to prevent data breaches can be challenging, we don’t have a choice. We must be open and collaborate, not just government to government, but within the private sector as well.
Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. As Africa’s digital ecosystem continues to expand, the need for skilled cybersecurity professionals is more critical than ever. Our Cyberweek event is dedicated to empowering the next generation of cyber guardians across the continent.
Through interactive workshops, expert panels, and thought-provoking discussions, we will explore innovative approaches to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap. We’ll delve into strategies for developing local talent, nurturing cybersecurity education programs, and fostering public-private partnerships.
Join us as we work together to empower Africa’s cyber guardians. By bridging the cybersecurity skills gap, we can protect our digital assets, secure our economies, and pave the way for a safer and more prosperous Africa in the digital age.
